She shared her health updates in 2020 via CNN saying her cancer had metastasized to her lungs, spine, and liver and her chance of survival was 2%.
Sadly, she succumbed to cancer in February 2020. The disease had already spread to her lungs, spine, and liver. Throughout her treatment, Jane was always positive sharing hope and happiness with her fans and followers. She frequently updated her fans on her health and treatment journey which also encouraged and gave hope to her followers.
Before passing away, she has shared on her Instagram a black and white photo of herself with the caption; ‘We are breaking records every second we survive. How rare a miracle it is to even be alive.”

She appeared as Nightbride during the auditions for America’s Got Talent’s 16th season in June 2021. During her post-performance interview with the judges, she said, “You can’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore before you decide to be happy.” Simon Cowell later awarded her a Golden Buzzer for her performance of her original song “It’s OK.” The song quickly rose to No. 1 on iTunes and No. 2 on YouTube.
Marczewski withdrew from the competition in August 2021, before she could compete in the show’s quarterfinal round, due to deteriorating health. Cowell advised her not to compete again, telling her, “you [Marczewski] don’t need the stress right now.”
