Greenberg joined ESPN in September 1996 and he started working as an anchor not long after the launch of ESPNEWS. He also anchored SportsCenter for several years as well as the iconic Mike & Mike which aired for the first time in January 2000.

In October 2021, Mike was chosen to serve as the next presenter of NBA Countdown, a popular NBA pregame show on ESPN and ABC. For a very long time, it was expected that Mike would host “Greeny” at ESPN Radio, which he did effective in August 2020.
