Mester’s firing follows his segment last Saturday, in which he apologized to viewers for the brief section announcing Romero’s resignation, calling it “unfortunate” and “inappropriate.”
Following her departure, Romero retweeted a message from a fan who stated that failing to give her a “real goodbye opportunity is a BAD look.” It didn’t take long for viewers to condemn the news, with some calling it “fishy” and “weird.”
