Her in-depth coverage has brought her from the epicenters of some of the deadliest natural disasters in US history, including Hurricane Katrina and Superstorm Sandy, to some of the country’s most important events, including President Barack Obama’s inauguration and the 9/11 attacks.
Nina and her colleagues at WABC and ABC News were awarded the coveted Peabody Award for Excellence in Journalism, thanks in part to her September 11, 2001, coverage from beneath the World Trade Center Towers.
