Wells started her career as a feature reporter at KMAX-TV. She was responsible for several live hits during the 4-hour morning show.
She joined KARE 11 in June 2001 as a multimedia reporter, where she researched, shot, wrote, and edited her own stories. She moved to Minneapolis to work as a radio show host for CBS Radio.
At CBS, she was in charge of producing morning show content including story selection, audio production, and interviews. In September 2014, Wells moved to Eden Prairie to work at Evine Live as an on-air lifestyle expert.
