What Happened between Jacey Birch and Her Ex-Husband?
Jacey was initially married to Trent Aric, a former newscaster at WPLG. Trent proposed to her on a live television broadcast in 2014 and the proposal clip aired on WPLG’s website for several weeks. They were together in marriage for three years until 2018 when they decided to go their separate ways.
Everything started going south in March 2018 after the couple had a violent altercation in their parking lot. It was so bad that Birch suffered serious bruises and she had to take a two-day leave from work in order to recover from the injuries.
A few hours later that same day, Trent was taken into custody and convicted of domestic violence, which is listed as a non-indictable offense. It was at that point that the couple decided to go their separate ways. Subsequently, the grounds for her divorce file tend to involve irreconcilable differences.
Birch and Trent were both in their second marriage, and they documented it on social media with sentimental posts from the day that he proposed to her on the live television broadcast. Jacey’s first marriage was with Bobby Consolo which ended in 2013. Not Much is known about Bobby.

Jacey Birch’s Career as a Broadcaster and Animal Advocacy
Birch’s career started not long after completing her college studies. She landed her first job away from her native Miami, at WBOY in Clarksburg, West Virginia as an anchor for the weekend broadcast.

There is no doubt that a little coal-mining community like Clarksburg represented a significant cultural shift from Miami. The Y2K “crisis” on New Year’s Eve was the first story that she was assigned.
Birch spent six months at WBOY and after her stint lapsed, she joined WDBJ in Roanoke, Virginia, where she was assigned the role of managing Star City entertainment reports and daily weather updates. Virginia was followed by a further leg of travel to WZTV in Nashville, Tennessee.
In 2004, her fate decided that it was time to join WPLG Local 10. For the past 15 years, she has reported, anchored, and covered numerous hurricanes in addition to traffic, the Heat reaching the Finals, and various weather-related topics.
She has also developed a huge passion for animal advocacy. Jacey is passionate about the welfare of animals and is often urging pet owners to “adopt, don’t shop” in order to save the homeless animals on doggy death row.
Jacey works closely with all of the South Florida rescue organizations due to the fact that has a special place in her heart for animals. She takes her animal advocacy in such a serious way that she even became vegan in order to “walk the walk” and defend every other animal, not just cats and dogs.
