Aric was initially married to Jacey Birch, a newscaster at WPLG. Trent proposed to her on a live television broadcast in 2014 and the proposal clip aired on WPLG’s website for several weeks. They were together in marriage for three years until 2018 when they decided to go their separate ways.
Everything began to fall apart in March 2018 after both of them got into a fight in their parking lot. Birch sustained severe bruises and had to take a two-day leave of absence from work to recover from her injuries.
A few hours later that same day, Trent was taken into custody and convicted of domestic violence, which is listed as a non-indictable offense. It was at that point that the couple decided to go their separate ways. Subsequently, the grounds for her divorce file tend to involve irreconcilable differences.
