Khambrel Marshall Jehovah’s Witnesses
Jehovah’s Witnesses follow in Jesus’ footsteps by going from house to house and speaking in public places, proclaiming His word. The congregation does all of its work on a volunteer basis, from building the Kingdom Hall to canvassing ministries, from playing music for their meetings to leading the meetings.
Howard stated that there is no tithing. There is a voluntary contribution box in the back of the Kingdom Hall, but no offering plates are passed around during the meetings.
The Jehovah’s Witnesses are generous with their time, talents, and literature. The Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society produces a number of brochures and books that are used in the witness work of “publishers” (active members who proclaim God’s word). The booklet Watch Tower Announcing Jehovah’s Kingdom is one of them.
They also have their own Bible, which is available in 129 languages and have their own website, jw.org, which is available in over 800 languages.
Marshall covered their story on how they dealt with moving from one house to another in the midst of the COVID 19 pandemic which forced them to change their strategy of moving from door to door and wearing of masks.
In an interview with Robert Hendriks, U.S. Spokesman for Jehovah’s Witnesses, he said that they already had a virtual foundation.
Robert Hendriks continued, “Our JW library has 15 million users each month on 15 million devices, 600 thousand audio and video,” he said. “All free and so we’ve delivered content for free in a virtual way for many years.”
